SAB BRUXELLES

THE SAB

NEW VERSION

IF THE CONCEPT OF THIS BRUSSELS ANIMAL SHOW IS IDENTICAL TO THAT OF THE TWO PREVIOUS EDITIONS, WITH A LIMITED SELECTION OF ARTISTS,

THE EVENT IS PLACED UNDER THE SIGN OF THE RENEWAL

BY MARIE C. AUBERT

For its new edition, the September Animal Brussels (SAB) is no longer sheltered at the old Nonciature, but at the gallery Costermans. It is also part of Brussels Art Square, which, this year, places France in the spotlight, thus conferring on it a kind of additional legitimacy : this integration into a major event in Brussels is in itself a formidable showcase. The Pompon prize, awarded to an animal artist whose work is in line with the Sedelocian sculptor, will be awarded at the SAB. As confirmed by Cécile Zicot, Director of the Pompon Museum: “For the fourth consecutive year, the prize is awarded jointly by the Mayor of Saulieu or his deputy delegate for culture and Cyril Brulé, President of the association François Pompon. The jury is made up of the aforementioned persons, Liliane Colas, expert of the work of Pompon, and myself. ” This will inevitably be a highlight of the event. Finally, a tribute will be paid to François Chapelain-Midy (1937-2007).
